Seaport

We love going to the South Street Seaport. Especially now that they have spruced things up a bit. They put in an elevated grass area with chairs and benches. It overlooks the water with a gorgeous view of Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Bridge. A dog park and lounge chairs/benches lining the water as you walk south. It's such a beautiful walk and place to explore. Pier 17 is scheduled to get a beautiful new look. You can read about the renovations here. It currently has a little shopping mall inside with a small food court. The mall isn't anything to get too excited about but hopefully with the renovations coming the mall wil improve. However, if you walk the cobblestone streets of Fulton & Front street you will find shops like JCrew, Gap, Abercrombie, Ann Taylor and Coach.

Check out the view from Pier 17 .  You will experience beautiful views along the water. 

The Seaport recently added this beautiful elevated lawn. It is located just south of the big ships.
The views are beautiful. Locals and tourists can come and lounge in the chairs, benches and grass.

 We prefer dancing and being silly.

 We had such a fun picnic dinner on the elevated grass area. Views of the city behind us and Brooklyn in front. Gorgeous!
