Earth Day, Tide for Coldwater

Last week I went to a fun event that was all about being environmentally friendly. The event kicked off with Vanessa Lachey (celebrity mother to be) showing us how to do laundry with Tide for Coldwater. Proctor & Gamble (makers of Tide) sent their crew to be there to inform all of us about the benefits of this amazing product!

A group of bloggers headed to lunch with Vanessa to have a round table discussion.  Jack English, the creator of this brand of Tide was extremely passionate about it. He told us all about his own family and how they use the product in his home. He was excellent. It was great to learn the science & ingredient knowledge behind Tide for Coldwater.

Okay, so here is Vanessa's scoop on the product! I know you want details!
First I have to say she is 5 months pregnant and is as gorgeous as ever. She rocked her 3 inch Gucci heels and told me they were her new babies until her real baby got here. She's really full of life and fun to talk to. She even let me take a picture of her heels. Now back to the Tide.

Vanessa said, " It's all about the small changes. I'm not telling everyone to go out and by a hybrid car. Laundry is something that everyone does and everyone can simply switch the water from hot to cold.
If everyone in NYC washed their clothes for 1 year in cold water we would be able to power the city for 74 years!"

Impressive right! It definitely made me think twice. They also informed us that hot water does not need to be used to kill the bacteria in our laundry. It's the dryer that kills the bacteria not the hot water in the washing machine.

I hope you are thinking today about how you can improve the environment and make it a better place for our children.

Vanessa told us one of her favorite websites for being "green".
EWG.ORG - check it out!

I was not paid for this event. I have used Tide for Coldwater and absolutely love it. I'm happy to be taking steps in the right direction. Now it's your turn! Tide for Coldwater!

HAPPY EARTH DAY!

Hey Jenna, thanks for stopping by, to answer your question I use Picasa to make the collages and then use "PicMonkey" to add the text and stuff, it is almost exactly like Piknic (RIP) and is free!

I know, I'm bummed about Piknic!
